The Yorktown community is saddened by the loss of Kerry O'Keefe, former Yorktown Crew Coach who lost her battle with cancer on September 23, 2001, at the age of 33.
Kerry
Lynn OKeefe was assistant coach of womens rowing at the University of
Minnesota. Previously, Kerry coached at SMU (Head Coach 99-00), Notre Dame (Novice Coach
98-99), Ohio State University (Asst. Coach 97-98), Yale (Asst Coach 96-97), as well as at
numerous clubs and high schools in Washington, D.C. and Cleveland. Kerry graduated from
Ohio State University in 1991.
Her family and friends would like to give special thanks to the nurses and caregivers of
Fairview University Hospital Unit 7C (Minneapolis, MN) and N.C. Little Memorial Hospice
(Edina, MN) for their support and care throughout Kerrys continued battle with
cancer.
